Press Releases
Crashes Plague BOSS Team at Fargo Nationals
Glyndon, Minnesota, March 8-9, 2013
Buffalo
River Race Park in Glyndon, Minnesota was the site of rounds 13
and 14 of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series just outside
of BOSS Racing’s US headquarters in Fargo, North Dakota.
Attendance was high, snow conditions were excellent and the
sleds were freaky fast. Despite everything appearing to be in
the team’s favor, it was a tough weekend for the team, as one
crash after the other occurred like clockwork- all weekend long.
After a wild series of collisions in qualifying, only Corey
Watkinson advanced to the main event on Friday. Positioned on
the front row, he had a good pull off the line and immediately
tangled in a first turn pile-up. When the snow settled,
Watkinson had been pushed to the rear of the pack, where
heremained after being unable to recover the distance gained by
the leaders. Saturday was a bit of a repeat but this time it was
Renaud on the front line of the main. He also finished in the
rear of the pack after a stunning mid-race crash. Renaud
currently sits top five in points with his sights set on top
three by the end of next weekend.
“ That’s the unpredictable nature of racing. Despite the talent
and hard work of the crew- some weekends just won’t go your way.
There is a mental component to this̶ the first series of crashes
left the team shaken. In an attempt to recover lost ground, our
riders proceeded to take greater risks which resulted in further
crashes. We are immensely thankful we have no serious injuries
and we are all laser focused on Geneva coming up this weekend.”-

Traverse City Proves Challenging for BOSS
Traverse City, Michigan - 02-11-13
Traverse
City, Michigan proved to be a challenge for the crew this
weekend. Despite being one of the less complicated tracks
of the season it gave its share of headaches for the crew.
Friday started well with Renaud Alexandre hard-charging during
Pro Lite competition -- locking down two first place finishes in
his heat races and positioned for the main as the top qualifier.
In the Final Renaud pulled third off the line and tangled up
with another rider while fighting for 2nd place, resulted in a
crash which pushed him to 13th for the finish. From that
point forward, you might think the rumors about "bad luck 13"
are true; Corey Watkinson had a rough go of things in his Friday
heat races forcing him to the LCQ where he finished 6th
--keeping him out of the main event.
Petter Narsa's Friday Pro Open qualifying resulted in tow 5th
place finishes. In his Final Narsa was fighting for fifth
with Logan Christian when he was run over by another rider and
sustained an injury to his right leg - resulting in a 15th place
finish and moving him down the ladder to 9th in national points.
Things didn't improve much Saturday. Watkinson and
Alexandre both advanced to their Pro Lite final where Corey
started 6th fasted qualifier and crashed in a fight for
fight taking him out, while Renaud finished near the back of the
pack after starting on the back row. Narsa was 6th fastest
qualifier in his Pro Open heats putting him front row for the
Roseau 10 Pro Open Final -- where he became entangled in first
turn chaos and never recovered leaving him with a 12th place
finish. Next up is Salamanca, New York, February 22-23rd.

Alexandre Locks Down 2 Podiums at Deadwood Shootout
Deadwood,
South Dakota February 4, 2013-
Deadwood, South Dakota hosted Midseason Rounds 7 and 8 of the
AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series. A legendary town made
infamous as the site where gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok met his
death while playing poker -Deadwood brought a western twist and
an intense battle to the national tour.
Corey Watkinson set an excellent pace for the team placing 2nd and 1st in
his Friday Night heats. Pro Lite teammate Renaud Alexandre also took a first
in
Heat 1 followed by a fourth in Heat 2 - advancing both Pro Lite Riders to
the front row of the Pro Lite Final where Alexandre secured the 3rd place
podium slot.
Alexandre repeated that performance on Saturday in the Pro Lite Round 8
Final, taking another 3rd place podium spot for the team. Watkinson had an
off during the LCQ which prevented his advance to Saturdays’s Pro Lite
Final.
Pro Petter Narsa ( #271) has certainly had his work cut out for him this
season, with an intensely tight field of top caliber athletes in the elite
Pro class, but his calm consistent approach continues to advance him in
season points. Narsa had strong showings in his Friday Night heat races-
taking a 2nd and a 1st for Team Jimmy John’s and advancing to the front row
of the main. Petter finished 5th in the Pro Open Final on Friday after a
wild ride on the hairpin course. On Saturday, Narsa placed 2nd in both of
his Pro Open qualifying rounds and ended his weekend with a 7th place place
finish in his final, which nudged him one spot forward in national points to
8th overall.

Petter Narsa Top 5 at Winter X Games 17
Aspen
Colorado - 1.29.13
As part of an elite field of the world’s top snowmobile athletes Team
Jimmy John’s was invited to participate in one of the world’s most televised
sporting events for action sport athletes̶Winter X Games 17, this past
weekend.
The prestigious event held on the famed slopes of Buttermilk Mountain in
Aspen, Colorado generates millions of impressions globally through live
coverage on ESPN and ABC. It also draws upwards of 100,000 live spectators
each year as athletes compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals alongside
several other snow sport disciplines including snowboarding and skiing.
Winter X Games 17 was a first for 20 year old Team Jimmy John’s Pro
Athlete, Petter Narsa (#271). Narsa had an impressive run, coming into
Sunday’s main event as the second fastest qualifier right behind 6-peat Gold
Medalist Tucker Hibbert- and garnering much coveted attention from X Games
media. Set up 2nd on the line for the main, Narsa held the reins at the
start in order to navigate through the first corner bottleneck. a wise
decision as it allowed him to move to the left and avoid the pack. Narsa
quickly settled into a 4th place position, eventually losing ground to
fellow Swede Emil
Ohman and finishing a respectable 5th out of 24 riders on the most difficult
course of his career.
Team Jimmy John’s Pro Lite athlete Renaud Alexandre (#793) was also
invited to participate in Winter X Games 17. The combination of a gnarly
course and bad luck sent Alexandre to the LCQ̶ when a complication with the
sled forced Renaud to pull off the course while running 4th and ended his
run at Winter X.
“ESPN and the staff at Buttermilk Resort put on a world class show and
the BOSS Racing crew is honored to be a part of the elite group of athletes
invited to participate in this prestigious event. The team looks strong and
we are eager to continue our regular season this weekend” - Garry Querel
The BOSS team is currently battling its way across country; in the midst
of the snow/ice storm hammering the midwest. We return to the ISOC National
circuit in Deadwood, South Dakota this Friday, February 1st, with main
events taking place Saturday the 2nd.

Narsa Podiums at Jimmy John’s sponsored Canterbury Nationals
Shakopee, Minnesota - 1.5.13
Team
Jimmy John’s traveled to Shakopee, Minnesota this weekend in the heart of
snowmobile country to compete in Rounds 5 and 6 of the ACSS Series at famed
horse racing facility; Canturbury Park. The Canterbury Nationals were
presented by the team’s title sponsor, Jimmy John’s - energizing the BOSS
crew to showcase its “freaky fast” athletes to the 10‘s of thousands of
fanatics who braved nightime winter temps to cheer on the world’s best
snocross athletes. Even Saturday's historic NFL rivalry between the
Minnesota Vikings and Wisconsin's Green Bay Packers did nothing to deter
fans who were crammed wall-to-wall in true standing room only fashion.
The race course was a short, tight course with deep holes-in full view of
Canterbury's luxury indoor facilities. CBS Sports trained their cameras on
the course hoping for adrenaline raising action and the Canterbury track
lived up to its legendary status as a nerve-wracking layout. The short
unforgiving track magnified errors and forced riders to be at the top of
their game- as numerous pile-ups and catapaulting crashes kept fans on the
edge of their seats.
Friday Round 5- Watkinson (#173) kicked off Pro-Lite Friday Night with a
4 and 4 in his qualifying rounds. Teammate Alexandre had a tougher go of
things with an 8 and 6 in his first heats and both Pro-Lite riders advanced
to the main through the LCQ wrapping up their night with a 7th for Watkinson
and 8th for Alexandre.
Petter Narsa (#271) began his Pro rounds with an 8th in Heat 1 and a 2nd
in Heat 2. Petter moved into the final after a 3rd place finish in the LCQ.
Things turned south quickly for Narsa as he became part of the turn one
carnage. Snow dust filled the air and sleds were airborne as everyone held
their breath to see who came out unscathed. Narsa’s sled was up-ended and he
strugged to remount as riders attempted to extricate sleds from the heap.
Narsa held a fast line, keeping pace with Kamm the rest of the race, but he
could not recover the lost ground and ended the night with 12th place
finish.
Saturday Round 6- Renaud rocked it through his heats- entering the main
as the fastest qualifier of the night. Watkinson also improved with a 4th
and a 2nd in qualifying. Renaud pulled hard at the start of the main and
tangled with the tight pack in the first bottleneck. With the field running
so close in speed, Renaud was unable to pass and finished 6th overall.
Watkinson came in 12th.
Petter Narsa (#271) showed incredible power exploding off the line in his
heat races, tangle ups ensued in heat 1, pushing him to 5th. Heat 2 brought
him across the line in 2nd. Narsa entered the final event as the 6th fastest
qualifier of the night. At the green he came out of the first bottleneck in
5th holding that position for most of the 25 laps despite constant pressure
from behind. Things got dicey in the final laps and Narsa moved up to a 3rd
place podium position in front of thousands of cheering fans.
“We really want to commend the ISOC organization for their world class
event this weekend. This is one of the best events on the circuit and we are
honored to showcase the freaky fast crew of Team Jimmy John’s here at our
title sponsor’s event.”- said team owner, Garry Querel.

Team Jimmy John’s Podiums Again at BlackJack Nationals
Winnipeg, Manitoba - 12.10.12
Team Jimmy John’s/ Ski-Doo/BOSS Racing travelled to Bessemer, Michigan
over the weekend to participate in Rounds 3 and 4 of the AMSOIL Championship
Snocross Series. The race course set on BlackJack Mountain is recognized as
the toughest course on the tour—and it lived up to its
reputation with an incredible 12 whoops section christened the “Dirty
Dozen”.
Despite
excellent snow conditions, the precipitous grade created real difficulties
for the BOSS crew as the flat-landers attempted to adjust to the “toughest
track ever assembled”at an ISOC national. Alexandre (#793) started slow on
Friday with a 7th and 6th in his Pro-Lite heat races. Watkinson (#173) fared
a bit better in the same class taking a 1st and 6th. Both riders advanced to
the main after qualifying through the LCQ but experienced their share of
hard
luck in the final. Watkinson had to make up time after being pitched from
his sled in the whoops section, resulting in a 9th place finish, while
Renaud ended his day with a 6th place overall after being pushed deep into
the pack in turn one.
Saturday saw dramatic improvement for Renaud, as he came to terms with
the treacherous track. He took 3rd and 2nd in his heat races and secured the
3rd place podium slot for the Pro-Lite main. Watkinson had a rough go of
things with an 8th and 5th in his heat races and was unable to make the
final.
“The field this season is incredibly intense and there is no room for
error with a track like that- every decision matters, more so than usual -
its one of the most competitive seasons I can remember.” said team owner,
Garry Querel.
New to the series this year, Pro Open athlete, Petter Narsa (#271) had
his share of hard knocks this weekend. He qualified for Friday’s Pro-Open
Final through the LCQ and finished in 10th place after getting tangled up in
the first turn and finding it hard to recover the lost ground. Saturday he
saw a similar fate as he again got piled-up in the first corner
chaos—pushing him to the back. Overall Narsa was able to advance one spot in
Pro Open National points after finishing 12th in Saturday’s Pro Open Final.
The team is back on the road and preparing for one of the most exciting
races of the year; the Canterbury Nationals, presented by Jimmy John’s in
Shakopee, MN January 4 & 5th.
CBS Sports Network will broadcast 16 half-hour race shows - all in HD -
on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. EST. The AMSOIL Championship Snocross - as an added
bonus - will also air in an evening repeat of each show during the week.
Coverage begins Dec 30th!

Renaud
Alexandre Wins Pro-Lite Round #2
Winnipeg, Manitoba -
11.25.12
Team Jimmy John’s/ Ski-Doo/BOSS Racing kicked off the International Series
of Champions snocross season in Duluth, Minnesota this past weekend under
the watchful eye of CBS Sports as film crews poised their cameras on the
intensely competitive field of riders. The Spirit Mountain course reunited
the world’s best snocross athletes after an 8 month off season and the
competition proved to be very intense —with most pros often running less
than a one second difference in their lap times. Track conditions were
difficult due to a sugary man-made base and intermittent heavy snowfall
producing low visibility throughout much of the weekend. Less snow forced a
shorter, more violent course than usual and riders from the US, Canada,
France and Sweden all struggled to keep things together.
Round One (Saturday)- All three Team Jimmy John’s riders qualified for
their main events during the first round of the season. In the Pro-Lite
Final Renaud Alexandre (#793) finished 8th after holding 3rd for 16 laps in
heavy snow and poor visibility. Corey Watkinson moved into the final after
his 3rd place finish in the LCQ (#173) and finished near the back of the
pack in the Pro-Lite Final. Pro athlete Petter Narsa (#271) qualified 5th
for the Pro Final on Saturday night after going 3rd and 2nd in his heat
races. In the main Narsa’s modified Ski-Doo pulled fast off the line and
tangled up in the mayhem of turn one pushing him back to the rear. The
shorter course made passing very difficult and lines were rapidly changing
under the man made snow. After a brutal 25 lap final with a tight field,
Narsa finished 10th place overall.
Round Two ( Sunday) - Renaud Alexandre had the best showing of the day on
Sunday going 1st and 1st in his qualifying heats making him the lead
qualifier for his Pro-Lite main. At the start he pulled off the line in 3rd,
and finished first overall with a commanding 3 second lead, capturing the
number one podium slot. Petter Narsa took 7th in Pro Open Heat 1, 4th in
Heat 2 and a 6th in the Last Chance Qualifier missing his Pro Open Final by
one spot.
Beginning with the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series season opening round
in Duluth,
Minn. (Nov. 25-27) and running through the season finale in Lake Geneva,
Wis. (March 16-18), CBS Sports Network will broadcast 16 half-hour race
shows - all in HD - on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. EST. The AMSOIL Championship
Snocross - as an added bonus - will also air in an evening repeat of each
show during the week. So tune in on Dec. 30th for the Duluth airing!

leading for 3/4th’s of the race.
While Narsa’s accomplishments are many, his most recent success was a
Gold Medal at the International Clash de Nations where he beat out the 2012
North American ISOC year-end champion Tim Tremblay for the title in Falun,
Sweden on March 24th. His international acclaim is rising as Narsa was

Derek Ellis Takes First Place in Pro-Lite
at Pontiac Silverdome
Winnipeg, Manitoba February 11, 2012
Team Jimmy John’s visited the the Pontiac Silverdome of NFL lore in
Detroit Michigan this past weekend for Round 7 of the AMSOIL Championship
Snocross Series and put another rider on the top box of the podium. The
stadium drew the largest single one day attendance for an ISOC national this
season— despite fears that a snowless winter would hamper the event. Crowds
were on the edge of their seats, as the world’s best snocross athletes
battled it out on the tight, short course.
The compact indoor set-up provided excellent viewing of the course, but
created an agitated environment for athletes, as they fought for
position—spilling many of them over the banks.
Team Jimmy John’s qualifying rounds showed Ellis, Watkinson and Morin
running extremely fast— drawing their full attention to picking smart lines
while attempting to avoid hard contact with the hungry field of athletes.
The intensity of the action on the course paralleled the sport of Roller
Derby athletes- where its all about getting to the front, no matter who gets
trampled in the process.
In the Pro-Lite class- both Ellis and Watkinson rode hard in brutal
qualifying rounds and advanced to the main. At the green, Derek Ellis pulled
the hole-shot, railed straight into the bottleneck at turn one and came
through in 2nd place just behind Kody Kamm. Pulling ahead of the rest of the
field, Ellis moved into first place with 3 laps to go, after passing Kamm on
a stricken sled to take the number one podium slot for the first pro feature
of the night. Watkinson became a casualty of the pandemonium, and lost
ground after colliding with another rider mid pack- he finished in the
bottom third of the pack.
Mathieu Morin had powerful starts and strong qualifying for the Pro Open
putting him on the front line of his main. At the start, he powered into
turn one, where his hopes for a win were derailed when a pounding collision
with another sled snapped the tie rod—taking him out of the race.
The team heads to BRP’s hometown for the legendary Grand Prix De Valcourt,
this weekend in Valcourt, Quebec Canada. Tune into NBC Sports to on Sunday
March 11 at 5PM EDT to watch coverage of the race. For pictures and more

Team Jimmy John’s Podiums in Pro-Lite at
Canterbury Nationals
Winnipeg, Manitoba January 10 13, 2012
The prestigious Canterbury Park was the scene for round 3 of the AMSOIL
Championship Snocross Series, held just outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota
this past weekend. The event, presented by Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches,
produced record crowds, which came to witness the world’s best snocross
athletes during a rare winter with virtually no snow. Thanks to the work of
track officials and powerful snow guns, the facility held its reputation for
producing one of the most challenging courses on the ISOC circuit, and the
local media took full advantage of the chance to broadcast images of snow to
a public frustrated with a dry and snowless winter.
Friday’s grandstand packed Pro-Lite qualifying brought both Watkinson
(#173) and Ellis (#106) to the final. Ellis had finished 4th and 2nd in his
heat races securing him an 8th place qualifying spot on the front line and
Watkinson sat 7th—after placing 3rd and 2nd during his earlier rounds. At
the start, Ellis pulled an explosive holeshot and led 13 laps of the 15 lap
race. Ellis abruptly slammed into a mogul and lost his grip with just a lap
and a half to go, leaving him with a frustrating 5th at the finish line.
Watkinson finished the race 9th after a difficult start.
On Saturday both Pro-Lite riders again advanced to the front row of the
main with strong placement in their qualifying rounds. Looking to redeem
himself from Friday’s disappointment, Ellis had a strong pull at the start,
intensely battling in close contact with the leader for the full 15
lapsgiving him a 2nd place podium position in front of 1,000’s of screaming
crowds.
During Friday night’s Pro-Open rounds, Mathieu Morin (#14) advanced to
the final with a 6th place front row start —after taking a 5th and 1st in
his heat races. He ran a fast paced competitive race and finished with a
respectable 4th overall.
In round 1 of Saturday’s Pro-Open qualifying Morin finished his first lap
in 2nd place, when he tangled hard with other riders and popped his
shoulder. He DNF’d that first round and took a 5th in round 2—sending him to
Last Chance. Morin dominated the LCQ, handing him a back row start for
Saturday’s Pro-Open final. He had a rough mid-pack start, got pushed off
track in the middle of the grueling 22 lap race and repositioned himself for
a final 8th place finish. After 3 rounds Morin holds 10th overall in points
with 6 more rounds to go.
Team Jimmy John’s heads to Eagle River January 20-22 to defend its 2010
snocross Pro Open title at the famed World Championships. You can watch the
NBC Sports broadcast of the Canterbury National presented by Jimmy John’s
Gourmet Sandwiches on Sunday, February 5th at 5 p.m. EDT.

Team Jimmy John’s Podiums Twice at
Blackjack Nationals
Winnipeg, Manitoba December 13, 2011
The second round of the ACSS began Saturday on Blackjack Mountain in
Ironwood, Michigan. The course presented difficult conditions with repeated
melting and refreezing of the track—due to unseasonably warm daytime temps.
The sugary base made throttling at exactly the right time a critical skill
and according to Derek Ellis, “its one crazy course requiring intelligent
maneuvering to avoid a crash”.
In Saturday’s Pro-Lite qualifying Narsa (#271) took a 1st and 4th in his
rounds, Ellis (#106) brought back two 2nd place spots and Watkinson had a
little tougher go of things with a 5th and 6th respectively. An exciting
display of Ski-Doo’s power was showcased by Petter Narsa (#271) and Derek
Ellis (#106) during the Pro- Lite main as both teammates ran side by side
through most of the race; with Narsa passing Ellis to finish 2nd, and Ellis
coming in on his heels to take 3rd—placing both Team Jimmy John’s riders on
Saturday’s Pro-Lite podium.
Sunday’s Pro-Lite gave Ellis a 3rd in round one and 1st in round 2. Narsa
bested his friend, with a 1st and 1st respectively. Watkinson had a better
day also with a 3rd and a 5th– taking all three Jimmy John’s boys to the
main. Sunday’s Pro Lite main was not so smart and easy. It started with a
hard bottleneck in turn one, pushing both Ellis and Narsa off their mark.
Swedish superstar, Narsa took a hit from another rider resulting in a
rollover—righting the sled and getting back to business was a heavy task and
Narsa finished a hard luck 13th. Ellis experienced much of the same
difficulty in turn one and was unable to make up the distance leaving him in
10th. Watkinson— who snuck past the earlier fray, took the team to a 6th
place in the final.
Pro Athlete, Mathieu Morin (#14) took a 3rd and a 1st in qualifying
during Saturday’s Pro Open rounds— ending with a 5th place finish in the Pro
Open final. On Sunday, Morin took a 4th and a 2nd in Pro Open qualifying. In
the main event, he took a strong start running in 5th when he violently
crashed on Ironwood’s now infamous nasty downhill section. The stunning
crash left him with a broken ski and unable to finish the race—with the good
news of no personal injuries and looking for redemption at Canterbury.
Racing resumes Jan. 6-7 at the historic Canterbury Park Racetrack outside
of Minneapolis, Minn. at the Canterbury Nationals, presented by Jimmy
John’s. Until then, catch the NBC Sports (VERSUS) broadcast of the Duluth
National Sunday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. ET.

Team Jimmy John’s host athlete Petter
Narsa wins at Duluth Nationals

Winnipeg,
Manitoba December 01, 2011
The 20th annual running of the Duluth National Snocross event
saw a number of firsts for Team Jimmy John’s/ Ski-Doo/ BOSS Racing. Friday
night Mathieu Morin (#14) was the first to take the Jimmy John’s sleds to
the field for a 16 rider bracket challenge during the inaugural AMSOIL
Dominator. Morin drew an early pick against Broberg and knocked him out of
the running. The next bracket saw Morin head to head against Tucker Hibbert—
who took the holeshot and left Morin just 2 short laps to recover. It was
not to be, Morin was left to focus on Saturday’s Pro Open as Ross Martin
walked away with the $10,000 prize.
Saturday began with BOSS Pro Light Riders; Derek Ellis, Corey Watkinson
and Petter Narsa showing astonishing speed, pulling holeshots and displaying
soaring triples to a crowded grandstands. The team took four 1st place wins
in the heat races— sending both Ellis and Narsa to the Main. Host athlete,
Petter Narsa (#271) was the undisputed fastest rider on the track and top
qualifier headed into this final. At the start, Narsa pulled the holeshot
and led the entire race to win the opening round of the ACSS Pro Light
class— clearly displaying his internationally renowned talent.
When the Pro Mods screamed onto the track, the crowd was in a frenzy as a
super fast Mathieu Morin advanced to pass leader Malinoski during the first
heat in Pro Open qualifying. A dislocated shoulder injury cut things short
and sent Morin to the back leaving him with an 8th place result. Round 2
qualifying brought a 3rd place finish for Morin- leaving him 1 point shy of
the LCQ and edging him out of the main.
Sunday‘s Pro Light was a near perfect repeat of day one, with Ellis,
Narsa and Watkinson taking 4 combined first place finishes during
qualifying- this time sending all 3 riders into the Main, with Derek Ellis
(#106) ranked as the number one qualifier. Narsa came off the line in 2nd
advancing on
Kody Kamm, when he got tangled up in lap traffic only 2 laps left to go.
Narsa continued to hold his 2nd place position taking the number 2 podium
slot. Ellis took 4th overall.
Lead Pro, Mathieu Morin (#14) had a strange series of highs and lows
during Sunday’s Pro Open qualifying rounds; he consistently exploded off the
line moving to the 2nd place spot. Due to his earlier shoulder injury he
could not sustain his position. During all three rounds he left the crowd
bewildered as he would move to pass the leader - then suddenly he appeared
to slump over the sled and pull off the track- the result of his shoulder
popping out of its socket and leaving him briefly unable to use his arm.
Mathieu has been equipped with a state-of-the-art brace and doctors have
already given him the green light for the next race of the season.
